  Animation of a talking face affords interactive agents the opportunity to reproduce the functions and behaviors of natural face-to-face conversation. It also offers a methodological tool for developing and testing psycholinguistic theories of those functions and behaviors.

  When police find a skull and want to know what its owner looked like, they generally use artists who reconstruct the face by building up layers of clay over the skull.

  inovani delivers an animation engine: a software only, state of the art rendering of talking expressive characters. These characters are programmed to present verbal (spoken) content with close to natural facial motions, and they include lifelike human head models, suitably modeled cartoon heads, “talking heads” or avatars.
